Old Business

                Jay Schrage for past President

    Roger Mulcahy for past Secretary/Treasurer

John Backer for past Newsletter Editor

Morris Trimble for past Technical Advisor

2.)  Hanger dance committee:

Todd Kyle reported that the band “Endless Summer”, at a cost of $850.00, will be available and that they have a good following.  Aircraft available for display will be: A T-6, C-195, L-19, L-2.  Also noted was that a DJ would cost at least $350.00.  Cost for admission will be $10-15 per person.  Bill Kyle noted that a cost of $10.00 should work out fine.  Possible beer sales on a commission basis, was voted on; 9 in favor, 0 opposed.  The plan is for the evening of Saturday, May 17.  Todd Kyle asked if he is to print tickets and how much advertising we want to do.  He will print flyers for airports and surrounding businesses.

3.) The Youth Day committee reported no real progress but that they are still planning.  They would like to do something similar to last year.  Saturday, June 14 is the best possible date for this year.  Todd Kyle suggested we table this until next meeting.

New business

Dave Meyers is out of aviation now and has offered his office location to the chapter.  With this in mind, Dave Eastman & Son offered that they would pay $40/month.  The Highway Patrol may perhaps pay about $5.00 per month.  Doug Rozendaal suggested that we encourage folks to join the chapter in order to use the facility.  Bill Kyle made a motion to take over the Dave Meyers office.  Dave Eastman 2nd.  Passed

Todd Kyle reported that June 25-27th will be a women’s air race through Mason City airport.. More details will follow at the next meeting.

Project reports

Doug Rozendaal reported that his new Tru-Track autopilot is working well in both course and altitude hold.  He reported that it would do published holds, and fly right down to touchdown.

Tom Barter reported there are some AMP-59250’s on Ebay and that they have been selling very reasonably.  These are for aircraft wire connections and are almost fool proof.

Todd Kyle has a DVD recording of the Red Tail Project.

John Backer showed a modified version of his Lipps prop using a 65 series airfoil for his Rotax 377 engine.

Scott Weinberg discussed eight different ribs made from 4130A and how flange edges are shrunk instead of fluted.

Other News

EAA sent out posters for Oshkosh 2008 and they were handed out with brochure holders.
